Workplace Giving and Employer Matching Gifts
This is often the easiest way to double your impact, and it doesn’t cost you a thing.
Many companies offer workplace giving programs that support local nonprofits like Abby’s House. If your employer offers one, here’s how to make it count:
- Check for a matching gift program. Many employers match employee donations dollar for dollar, some even at 2:1 or 3:1. A $100 gift to Abby’s House could become $200 or $300 with no extra cost to you.
- Ask your HR or People team. Search your company’s giving portal (Benevity, YourCause, and Millie are common ones) or ask HR directly whether Abby’s House is an eligible nonprofit.
- Set up payroll giving. Many workplace giving programs let you contribute directly from your paycheck, spreading your gift out over the year.
- Bring us to your team. We’re happy to schedule a short presentation for your employees about the women and children we serve and how their giving changes lives.
United Way Designation If your company runs a United Way campaign that allows donor designations, you can name Abby’s House as the beneficiary of your payroll deduction gift. Contact your company’s United Way campaign coordinator to make the designation.
