Development Associate
Compensation: $35,000-$40,000
Job Overview
The Development Associate supports Abby’s House fundraising efforts through in-kind giving, community engagement, and coordination of external fundraising activities. This role also cultivates civic and religious partnerships while supporting corporate giving campaigns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
In-Kind Giving

Manage and record in-kind donations; oversee acknowledgment process.

Coordinate distribution, inventory, and storage of donations.

Lead holiday giving programs and auction solicitation.
Civic/Religious Engagement

Build relationships with religious and civic organizations.

Coordinate outreach, speaking engagements, and partnerships.

Develop strategies to encourage financial and in-kind support.
External Events & Vendor Relations

Oversee third-party fundraising events and community partnerships.

Coordinate corporate and civic volunteer engagement.

Support logistics and donor recognition for external events.
Administrative & Cross-Team Support

Maintain accurate donor records in Bloomerang.

Support donor recognition and stewardship activities.

Collaborate with marketing/communications to highlight donor impact.
Qualifications

2-3 years nonprofit fundraising, development, or donor engagement.

Experience with in-kind giving preferred.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Bloomerang preferred).
