Abby’s House Shelter

Our shelter is a temporary night shelter for women with or without children. Shelter is open between the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. During the day the shelter is closed.
Abby’s House provides an independent living environment. We are a dry/substance free shelter. Guests in the shelter are required to meet with an Advocate at Abby’s House at least once per week to develop an Empowerment Plan and receive case management services.
Our Shelter is designed to support individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Women and children only
-
Children must be 13 or under
-
Women with children must apply for Emergency Assistance (Family Shelter) at the DTA Office. If you do not qualify, you should have a denial letter to be considered for Abby’s House Shelter

Accessing Shelter
Are you a woman in need of shelter? Are you a provider looking to make a referral? Please complete the form below to be added to our call-back list. When a bed becomes available a member of our Shelter Team will contact you to schedule a meeting to apply. If your contact information changes, please be sure to inform us to ensure we can reach you.
If you are unable to complete the questionnaire you may also send an email to Shelter@abbyshouse.org or call 508-756-5486 to provide your information.
This form is used to collect information from both individuals seeking shelter and providers making referrals on behalf of clients. All information is kept confidential and is only shared with our Shelter Team. Submitting this form does not guarantee shelter placement and we do not maintain a waitlist. Applicants will be added to our call-back list in the order it is received, and a member of our Shelter Team will reach out to schedule an interview when a room becomes available. Due to high demand, our call-back list is currently very long and wait times may vary.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to support as many individuals as possible.
