The Board of Directors of Abby’s House is very pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Orozco, LICSW as our  next Executive Director. We feel privileged to have found a professional with a passion for advocating and  empowering all women. Julie has an impressive clinical background, and a deep familiarity with Worcester  nonprofits and stakeholders. Julie has lived in Worcester for the past 23 years and loves everything about it – as she puts it, “its diversity, its grit, its decisiveness to be Worcester, its history, and its unshakable commitment to being a city that welcomes all walks of humanity.”

For the past 14 years, Julie has served in leadership roles within Community Healthlink as Vice President of Recovery Environments and Supports, and more recently with

ConcertoCare as Vice President of Behavioral Health. Julie has also served on the board of the Regional Environment Council for the past 13 years.

Julie possesses the skills and background needed to support our launch of the construction of our shelter renovation, deepen our diversity, equity, and anti-racism efforts, embrace Abby’s trauma informed care approach, and design and implement an Integrated Care approach to our services. We welcome her arrival on June 26, 2023.
